During October and November Student's at Memorial school have been busy looking at the beautiful art from Syria, Israel, Lebanon, Armenia, Turkey, Somalia, Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh and India. Our school has students who have cultural heritages from these countries. These students shared their knowledge and experiences from these cultures with their classmates.
Following sharing time, the class created an art project inspired by a country of this region of the world.

September and October in Art
In September and October we were busy exploring the Americas south of the United States including and the Caribbean Islands. Memorial School has student's either from or have ancestors from Argentina, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Honduras, Cuba, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Bermuda and Dominican Republic.
Students from these counties shared their knowledge and family stories with their class. Following sharing time, students were given an art lesson and project inspired by that country.
